Who I am...
It has taken me a very long time to finally get my website up and running. Truth is, I wasn't sure what the focus of this site should be. I am an equity actor/singer, but stopped performing a few years ago after I did my first off broadway play, JOY. I never imagined that I would be composing music. If someone had told me a few years ago that this is where my passion would lie, I would have laughed in their face. Actually, someone did ask me and I did just that. I have always played the piano. Being self taught, I never had full confidence in my ability. But through hard work and love of music I was determined to better my skills. I became a musical director/vocal coach. I started teaching musical theatre to children and developed my own course which I currently teach throughout the five boroughs of Manhattan.
I developed a passion for writing music after a dream. Cliche' yes, but true none the less. A mentor of mine passed away in 2002 and about two and a half years ago I dreamt of him. In the dream he was humming. I woke up, and couldn't get the tune out of my head. I went to the piano, played it out, and my first song was born. Since then it's all I could imagine doing. This website will change and grow. Just as the music I write will change and grow. Please enjoy. Nothing makes me happier than to share the music in my heart.
